Entries – 156 wines in 5 divisions.  No sparklers were entered.

16 Double-gold (10%)
31 Gold (20%)
72 Silver (46%)
23 Bronze (15%)
12 Honorable Mention (8%)

Chief Judge Donna Bettencourt is proud of members’ winemaking skills – 76% of the wines earned silver awards or better.  If  you didn’t pick up your judging sheets at the picnic, they’ll be at the June 21 SHW meeting.

President Donna Bettencourt thanks the 45+ volunteers who tirelessly dedicated this weekend to make the Jubilee wine competition a success. The front and back of the house were seamless in the competition’s execution. Special appreciation goes to: Competition Coordinator Henry Wilkinson;  Head Clerk Linda Skinner; Pit Master Thad Rodgers; Hospitality Chief Vickie Rosalli; Data Guru Bill Staehlin; and to the 15 wine judges.  The Club especially thanks Chief Judge Donna Bettencourt for her dedication and guidance in this competition.

Sunday’s Jubilee picnic and awards ceremony continued the weekend’s festivities.  Very special thanks are extended to Judy Pinegar for again offering her ranch for this annual event, and to chef John Lewis.  Appreciation goes to all who helped set up and clean up after the party.
